Get Involved

This co-op will only happen if neighbors like you help build it. Here's how.

We're Just Getting Started

Right now, we're in the earliest phase—gathering interest, building a network of supporters, and proving that our community wants this. Every person who gets involved now helps make the case that a co-op can work here.

Spread the Word

Know neighbors who'd be into this? Tell them about it.

  • Share the website with friends and family
  • Post in neighborhood Facebook groups or Nextdoor
  • Mention it at your local coffee shop or bar
  • Talk about it at community meetings

Join a Buying Club

We're exploring starting a buying club as a first step—pooling orders to buy directly from local farms at wholesale prices. It's a way to build community and prove demand before we have a storefront.

Volunteer Your Skills

We need people with all kinds of expertise. If you've got time and skills to contribute, we'd love to hear from you. See below for areas where we need help.

Attend Events

As we grow, we'll host community meetings, listening sessions, and pop-up events. Fill out the survey to get on our email list and hear about upcoming gatherings.

Common Questions

Do I need to pay anything right now?

No. We're not collecting money at this stage. When we move toward formal incorporation, there will be opportunities to become a member-owner, but that's down the road.

How much time would I need to commit?

That's up to you. Filling out the survey and spreading the word takes minutes. Joining the steering committee or volunteering regularly would be more, but we're flexible and grateful for any contribution.

I don't live in Remington/Hampden/Charles Village. Can I still participate?

Yes! While we're focused on serving these neighborhoods, we welcome support from anyone in the Baltimore area who believes in what we're building.

When will the co-op actually open?

We don't have a timeline yet. Opening a full grocery store takes years of planning, fundraising, and community building. We're in phase one—proving demand and building our base. We'll share updates as we hit milestones.
